Beginners Sampler Quilt with Tina Finbow

Back by popular demand – the Beginners Sampler Course is a great opportunity to learn lots of new techniques whilst making a good size Sampler Quilt.  It is based on a Quilt as You Go method – making it more manageable.

The course is over 12 Sessions, which are all on Saturday’s, from October 2026 through to the end of May 2027, and is ideal for a Confident Beginner.

This course is based over 12 sessions:-

You will need a Sewing Machine with a ¼” foot, a Walking Foot, a Rotary Cutter, Ruler and Cutting Mat plus your standard sewing equipment.

Workshop fee is £576 split over 3 payments:-

Blakeney Storage Hanging Pods with Aitchbee

This is a Brand NEW workshop with Aitchbee.

In Aitchbee’s words:-

SKILL LEVEL: Easy project – fun for sewists of all levels of experience
NARATIVE: One funky fat quarter is enough to make the outside of the set of three pods shown; small, medium & large. Each pod has a hanging loop or can stand on its base. Make these useful and decorative storage pods as Christmas gifts for quilty friends or keep them all for yourself!
Each student will receive a full set of instructions, with colour photographs, diagrams and templates so they can complete and repeat the project at home. This is a machine sewing class, knowledge of rotary cutting is also useful but not essential.

Zipped Pouch with Tina Finbow

With Christmas coming around so fast, I was thinking about what makes a great Christmas Gift and I have found in previous years that the Zipped Pouch is not only a great gift, but you can also put a gift inside it too.

With that in mind – this workshop is an opportunity to come along and make a Zipped Pouch – you will have a choice of what to make – a pouch made with mini charms, or one using up Jelly Roll strips placed diagonally or even one using a whole piece of fabric that can be quilted up.  You will learn all about how to make the Zipped Pouch.  You can even buy one of our Kits to make.

Not suitable for an Absolute Beginner.

A Delectable Twist with Tina Finbow

Due to its popularity – I will be teaching this workshop again – working with Delectable Mountains to create a lovely panel that can be used as a Table Centre Piece, a cushion front or side panel for a bag.  The choice is yours.

This workshop is suitable for a Confident Beginner – you will make this lovely panel which can be used for all sorts of projects – on the day I will discuss with you all the options – but I will teach how to finish it off for the table centre piece.

Tree Table Runner/Bed Runner with Tina Finbow

This is a Brand NEW Workshop – and, if I am honest, due to it being a tad wasteful with fabric, I wasn’t going to teach it – however, with a bit of arm twisting I have agreed to teach it and use the wasted fabric for the border.

It would make a perfect Table Runner – or even Bed Runner – and it doesn’t have to be Christmas themed either – I can picture it in gorgeous browns and greens too.

Suitable for a Confident Beginner.

Frank the Badger with Aitchbee

SKILL LEVEL: Confident beginners and upwards

NARRATIVE: Meet FRANK who’s busy foraging in the undergrowth for his supper, he’s having a good look around for something tasty. Even if you have never tried FPP before, I will walk you through this amazingly useful technique. The centre panel finishes to approximately 14 x 14 inches (18 x 18 with the border) perfect for a cushion or wall hanging. Each student will receive a full set of instructions, with colour photographs, diagrams and additional FPP templates, so they can complete the bag at home. This is a machine sewing class, knowledge of rotary cutting is also useful but not essential.

Snowballs & Charms Quilt Top with Lizzy Curtis

This is a Brand NEW workshop with Lizzy Curtis.

This gorgeous quilt was made using a Charm Pack (pack of pre-cut 5” squares).

On the day Lizzy will teach you the technique to make your Snowball Charm squares, as well as teach you about the finishing off with a Flange Binding.

Any Charm Pack can be used for this quilt along with contrasting fabrics.

The actual quilt is on display at the cabin as the photos do not do it justice.

Suitable workshop for a confident beginner.
